Mediobanca tenders its stake in Montedison to Italenergia

Mediobanca today tendered its 263.2m Montedison shares (representing 15% of the company's ordinary share capital) to Italenergia under the terms of the latter's takeover bid for Montedison. The gross proceeds of the sale, which will be settled on 24 August, amount to ?831.7m.
