Candover acquires from Permira a majority stake in Ferretti S.p.A.

Candover and Permira today announce the acquisition by Candover of a majority stake in Ferretti S.p.A. (“Ferretti”) from Permira. Ferretti is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high performance luxury motor yachts. After the transaction, Candover will detain an approximately 60% stake with Permira Funds, Norberto Ferretti (Chairman and founder of Ferretti) and Ferretti Group’s management team re-investing the remaining 40%. Norberto Ferretti and Group’s management team, already present in the shareholding of the Company, have increased their stake in Ferretti’s share capital after the transaction. Mediobanca acted as co-advisor to Permira in the transaction.
